Two Dogs Whine Tasting

At Two Dogs Whine, we believe great wine starts with great fruit—and that means casting our nets far beyond Virginia’s borders.

From the sun-drenched valleys of Chile to the storied hills of Italy, we source only the finest grapes and juice, then bring them here to our King George, VA micro-winery to craft each bottle by hand. Tradition guides us—small-batch fermentations, attentive barrel aging, time-tested techniques—yet we’re always pushing forward, experimenting with bold flavors and innovative blends. Here’s a look at what’s coming soon, and what’s currently maturing in our barrels.

Coming Soon to Your Glass

Two Dogs Whine Toasted Caramel

Toasted Caramel

A luxurious, slightly sweet red built on a backbone of robust Merlot, infused with subtle toffee notes and finished with a whisper of smoky oak. Perfect alongside crème brûlée or enjoying by the fire.

Two Dogs Whine Raspberry Mocha

Raspberry Mocha

Intensely fruit-driven, with bright, juicy raspberry dancing against a backdrop of dark chocolate and espresso. Balances acidity and richness—ideal for dessert or an after-dinner sip.

Two Dogs Whine Chocolate Orange

Chocolate Orange

A playful twist on a classic pairing: ripe, candied orange zest woven through layers of velvety cacao. Lightly tannic, with a refreshing citrus lift that keeps it lively from nose to finish.

Two Dogs Whine Cherry Wine

Cherry

Pure and uncomplicated—think fresh-picked Bing cherries in liquid form. A touch of tartness gives it verve, while a gentle kiss of American oak adds depth without masking the fruit.

Each of these limited-edition wines will be bottled and released this summer. Keep an eye on our website and social channels for exact release dates—and be ready to pounce: when they’re gone, they’re gone.

Barrel Aging in Progress

While we’re excited about what’s next, we’re equally proud of the classics taking shape in our barrels right now. In French and American oak, these world-heritage varietals are developing complexity and character:

  • Chilean Carménère

Softly spiced, with notes of blackberry, green peppercorn, and a silky mid-palate.

  • Chilean Malbec

Deep, inky, and rich—black cherry, plum, and a touch of eucalyptus lead into fine-grained tannins.

  • Old-Vine Italian Merlot

Sourced from vines over 50 years old, this Merlot brings concentrated fruit, earthiness, and a robust structure.

  • GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre)

A classic Southern Rhône blend: Grenache’s red fruit, Syrah’s peppery depth, and Mourvèdre’s tannic backbone.

  • Italian Nebbiolo

High-elevation Nebbiolo barrels yield aromas of tar and roses, with firm tannins and bright acidity—an elegant future Barolo.

  • California Syrah

Bold and brooding: blackberry, smoked meat, and violet, anchored by American oak spice.

These barrels will rest for six to twelve months, depending on the variety, until they achieve the depth and balance we demand.
