Breaking Old Promises — Introducing Our Pinot Noir Rosé
If you’ve been following Two Dogs Whine for a while, you’ve probably heard me say it more than once:“I’ll never make a Rosé.”
It wasn’t stubbornness for tradition’s sake — it was personal. Back in college, I had a bad run-in with a bottle of rosé that left me swearing off the style for good. Ever since, I’ve focused on the wines I know and love — bold reds, crisp whites, rich dessert wines — and left the rosés to other winemakers.
But something interesting happened in the tasting room over the last year:you kept asking.
Glass after glass, bottle after bottle, the same request would come up — “When are you going to make a rosé?”

At first, I brushed it off. But the requests never stopped. Eventually, I realized something important: if people are asking for it, they see something in our winemaking they want in their glass. And that’s worth listening to.
So I took the challenge head-on — and if I was going to break my long-standing promise, I was going to do it right.
🍷 A Barrel-Aged Pinot Noir Rosé
This isn’t your typical pale, paper-thin rosé. I chose Pinot Noir as the base — a grape known for its elegance and depth — and gave it the time and patience of barrel aging to build complexity and roundness. The result is a wine that’s vibrant yet structured, with delicate strawberry and cherry notes layered over soft vanilla and a whisper of oak.
It’s unmistakably a rosé, but one made the Two Dogs Whine way — with craft, character, and no shortcuts.

Our first-ever Pinot Noir Rosé will be available starting this weekend in the tasting room. It’s a small batch, and once it’s gone, it’s gone.
I never thought I’d say this, but here we are — and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
